In its autumn program BIT Teatergarasjen writes the following about Everest 96 - The Summit by Schauplatz:
"May 11 1996 eight persons lost their lives during an expedition towards the summit of Mount Everest. With the survivors a group of Everest experts examines the circumstances and reasons to the tragic events, a study and a new expedition, this time searching for the truth, 7800 meters above sea level. What happens to the people who challenge these heights, places where it's impossible to live, places characterised by scientists as death zones, no less?
The directors Albert Liebl and Anna-Lisa Ellend have created a docu-disaster-theatre production that is witty, slightly macabre and most politically incorrect."
