Arnaqat
du verden... for et liv* (oh, world... what a life)
Arnaqat - du verden... for et liv* (Arnaqat - oh, world...what a life) (1992) was a theatre production by Sampo Teater. Arnaqat is an Inuit word meaning "Hi, you, my sister, you, woman like me". The fascination for the diversity of woman, her strength and the paradoxes of her nature was the driving force behind producing Arnaqat.
In Arnaqat by Sampo Teater 12 female characters in different life stages and ages were presented; a small child, a teenager, a bride, a wife, a mother, the right hand of the boss, the urban woman, the native born woman, the prostitute, the grandmother and the mythological character of The Mother of the Ocean – a central character in Inuit mythology.
Anitta Suikkari made her directorial debut with the production Arnaqat.

Ellen Pollestad (16.09.1992). Review called KVINNELIV - med poesi og humor (literally: Female life - with poetry and humour). Nordlys (Tromsø), page 18:
"In Arnaqat Makka Kleist gives us an hour of fascinating art of acting. She has a thousand faces and the language of the dancer - and she brings us along on a diverse journey through female life.
Many aspects - different life stages. Female life for better and worse. It is fine and poetic. Strong and great. It is humorous and lusciously understated. Bitter and wise from experience. Hi sister, Makka Kleist greets. With a coquettish smile. And we greet her back in recognition. Often with the mouth shaped in a smile."
