Odyssey Complex

According to BIT Teatergarasjen, Felix Mathias Ott states the following about Odyssey Complex:

"I want to create a writing, which is able to open spaces to give responsibility and attention to the spectator. This writing should be able to play with the conditioned eyes of the spectator and surprise him constantly. This ground where the spectator gets invited is not a stable ground, he is responsible to find his position in it by himself struggling in front of it, being confronted with 'staged reality' in its whole dimensions.

I want to invite the spectator to a discovery into the unconscious world of his own. This demands a writing, which is constructed in a surreal manner, to trigger the unconscious of the spectator and his own creativity, to let him construct his one world with the fragments he will have to confront."

Felix Mathias Ott studied contemporary dance, context and choreography at HZT Berlin, and now works as a stage designer, video artist, writer and choreographers, with bases alternating between Paris and Berlin.

The project is shown at BIT Teatergarasjen as part of a selection of productions through APAP.
