Verklärte Nacht
Verklärte Nacht (2011) is a dance production by Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt.
What happens when the musicians step onstage into a dance performance? Can dance and music be experienced on equal footing, or will what we see get the most attention?
In Verklärte Nacht Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt tries to examine the balance between the two expressions at several levels. Schönberg's Late Romantic work Verklärte Nacht, with music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Rolf Wallin, make up the musical foundation.
The German expression Verklärte Nacht means Transfigured Night.
