In (And) by Grace Ellen Barkey and Needcompany an ice princess, a slave girl, a rock'n roll prince and three Chinese-speaking wise men go to the fishmonger's.
(And) is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Turnadot. Needcompany's choreograper Grace Ellen Barkey transforms the fairytale world of heroic princes into a world filled with passionate, bizarre creatures.
Musically the dance production uses some original Puccini, some James Brown, rap, pop and rock'n roll, plus a bit of Chinese opera.
