Unrehearsed Beauty/Le génie des autres was written by writer, musician and theatre artist Jacob Wren, aiming to illuminate the use of text material in the theatre.
In the program of BIT Teatergarasjen the production was described in the following manner: "PME examined the idea about theatre's character without getting lost, but it ended as damn good theatre."
With the Bergen performances in 2003 the production ended where it had started, after touring Europe, Canada and USA for the time in between. It opened in 2002.
Le génie des autres means "the genius of the others".
