In the spring program of BIT Teatergarasjen in 1999 the following, among other things, is written about Dialogue with Charlotte by Raimund Hoghe:
"This is an unusual love story. Here the reduced physical theatre of Hoghe's works after the jukebox principle: Every three or four minutes a sentimental song is played. Old American musicals, opera arias and Edith Piaf melodies create nostalgic scenes with images of the impossibilities of love.
For Raimund and Charlotte are utter opposites. In the meeting between the two the crossing of boundaries and the honesty are striking. Dialogue with Charlotte is a chamber play of a dance production, or perhaps more a collage of dance, movement theatre and musical theatre."
