In the spring program of BIT Teatergarasjen in 1999 the following is written about Fragile by Montazstroj:

"Montazstroj was established as a theatre/audio/video/dance project in Zagreb in 1989. The company has eventually gained a position as the most successful Croatian company within dance and physical theatre. They visited BIT Teatergarasjen in 1996, when performing the critically acclaimed Everybody goes to disco from Moscow to San Francisco.

The new production Fragile is based on the Biblical myth of militant Anti-Christian Saul, who is reborn as the apostle St. Paul. Through the story the piece attempts to grab hold of the fragility of our identity, personally, ideologically and socially.

Fragile is performed in a deserted landscape made by clear sides, where the characters leave porous traces in chalk and coal, while one single beam of light stream towards the fragile body. The production contains dance and theatre sequences based on ceremonial elements from persecution and crucifixion. The performers are from Croatia, The Netherlands, Germany and Norway."
