The Husband Who Was to Mind the House (1971) was a puppetry production by Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre), based on the traditional fairytale by the same title, collected and written down by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe. The production was performed in Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre)'s puppetry.
Terje Mærli directed it.
In parts of the run, at least, The Husband Who Was to Mind the House was performed with Hjemmusa og Fjellmusa* (The Home Mouse and the Mountain Mouse), using the shared title To eventyr* (Two Fairytales).
*Not yet translated into the English. The title within parentheses is the Norwegian title's literal meaning.
