By the Gate of the Kingdom
At the Gate of the Kingdom (1929) was a theatre production staged by Det Nye Teater, later known as Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre), based on the play by Knut Hamsun.
The production was one of three opening performances for the theatre's new venue inRosenkrantzgate, where Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre)'s main stage is still located today.
The theatre opened February 26 1929, when At the Gate of the Kingdom was performed. The next two evenings Hamsun's trilogy was completed with performances of The Game of Life and Sunset Glow.
