Telemark Junaiten
Telemark Junaiten was a three-act musical play by Grenland Friteater, dealing with the emigration from Norway to the USA during the mid-1800es. The play was a tribute to the valley of Hjartdal, to Johannes from Ambjønndalen who fell in the American civil war in 1864, and to a young and strong woman, Ingebjørg, who knows what she wants.

The hard confronted the hard while comedy stayed close.
Music, dance and song were supporting columns in a play with several new texts and melodies. Soloists, choir and orchestra drew the whole thing in the direction of a whirlwind musical – with Hjartdal and the last days of summer as a backdrop and frame.
