Nei, nei gutt!* (No, no, boy!)
Nei, nei gutt!* (No, no, boy!) by Theatre Spillebrikkene is loosely based on the songs and texts of Margrethe Munthe. Theatre Spillebrikkene has placed the family in an absurd cartoon world with a physical expression characterised by timing, humour, dance and music.
*Not yet translated into English. The title within parentheses is the Norwegian title's literal meaning.

Nei, nei gutt!* (No, no, boy!) was made in collaboration between Theatre Spillebrikkene and Teater Innlandet. Nei, nei gutt! opened in Elverum and toured the counties of Hedmark and Oppland.
In Nei, nei, gutt! the audience met an ordinary family an ordinary Saturday. Except that it is the little brother's birthday, and he expects cake, gifts, birthday tribute songs and a party. Mother and Father are busy filling their day off with everything they think should be part of such a day; hiking in the woods, baking, singing and playing music. They don't see that the older sister is not so small any longer, and they have forgotten about the little brother's birthday.
