On the webpage of Hordaland Theatre one can read the following about The Dolphin:
"A lonely woman is at home when somebody knocks the door. In comes a dolphin, playful and eager! This naturally is a surprise, but eventually it turns out that the woman and the dolphin are to become very good friends!
But the dolphin, of course, belongs at sea. The inevitable happens; The woman and the dolphin have to part. The woman is very sad, but the dolphin knows what to do; 'You can have my shadow! You can have it all the time! Just like your own, and like that, we’ll be together forever!'"
