With Bolla Pinnsvin..Hvor er du?* (Bolla the Hedgehog…Where are you?) Teater Radix yet again puts Alf Prøysen on the cultural map. The audience gets to meet well-known, dear characters in songs such as Nøtteliten (literally: Little Nutty) and Helene Harefrøken (literally: Miss Helene Hare), in a cabaret in which the actors use masks inspired by commedia dell'arte as an aesthetic effect.
Four friends meet a hectic summer day. But at the same time, deep into the woods and the kingdom of the animals something else happens: Bolla the hedgehog is on her way to school when she is trapped by the hunter Bom-Bom (literally: Miss-Miss). The school mates Nøtteliten and Helene Harefrøken see her being captured, and aided by the little Song Thrush lille Måltrost, they try to free her.
In the synthesis between traditional theatre, cabaret, mask theatre and puppetry, Radix presents a musical didactic theatre experience with singsong and interaction. In Bolla Pinnsvin...Hvor er du? subjects such as friendship, solidarity and collaboration are central.
Radix has toured with Bolla Pinnsvin...Hvor er du? in different counties and municipalities, and it has been part of The Cultural Rucksack in Oslo the school years of 2004-06. The production also has been a main attraction at the summer theatre of Stavern, the children’s culture festival in Kalvøya, the cultural festival of the municipality of Sørfold in Nordland, The Market for Performing Arts in Sandefjord, and it sold out during the Prøysen festival in Prøysenhuset in Ringsaker.
