What creates fear? What happens with the human imagination when the room is dark?

So Uncanny by Therese Markhus dealt with these questions, working forth different stage images referring to the dark, dangerous and horrible, hinting that something has happened or will happen. The production played with the visual images using mobile light sources, overhead projectors and paper meant for wrapping food. The performer created an image and in the next moment the image was twisted through a change in the light's direction, or by objects being broken down or ruined.

So Uncanny by Therese Markhus was supported by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (travel grant/performing arts).
