"What happens when you plug a tap dancer into a computer?

The duo Øy release their first album and celebrate with a concert performance on Store scene. The album called Live consists of recordings from concerts in Oslo, Fredrikstad, Hammerfest and the Netherlands, including a concert performed during ++ at Black Box teater in the spring of 2023. This album release and concert performance will be a unique, improvised concert containing visual elements, playing further on different staging from previous concerts in different formats.

Øy’s musical expression ranges from dreamy, mysterious and cinematic, via clubby, groovy and danceable, to intense and noisy. Eraker and Lislegaard want to create music that gives listeners images in their heads, offering a sound world to dream away in. The sound from Eraker’s tap dance is sent into the electronics and used to control Lislegaard's electronic instruments. The result is a two-way communication where the dancer and the musician react to one another’s contributions"
