"La elva leve" ("Let the river flow") was used as a slogan during the Alta conflict at the end of the 1970s, when Sámi activists and environmental campaigners fought together to prevent the development and damming of the Alta-Kautokeino river system.
The film is in Sámi and Norwegian, with Norwegian subtitles. The introduction and presentation were in Norwegian.
