Tearing a new one

Tearing a new one produced by Turnékompaniet is a production about opera. Using the story of their own great grandfather, the Bohemian painter Bernhard Folkestad, the brothers Jonas Kippersund and Peter Kippersund delve into the opera history of Norway. The femme fatale is Kirsten Flagstad, Hamar's great daughter and international opera star, who achieved a position which will hardly be challenged for quite some time.

More

Tearing a new one is play with humour and opera about the biggest opera star Norway has ever fostered. Jonas and Peter Kippersund play the parts using a laidback acting style and personal involvement, moving between the characters seemingly without effort. Turnékompaniet provides a loud and humorous introduction to the life and art of Kirsten Flagstad.

The performance was made in collaboration between the municipality of Hamar, The Museum of Hedmark and Turnekompaniet.
