Ravn* (Raven) by Tara Teateret (The Tara Theatre) has been on it swings since 2002, in many different disguises and on many arenas. Tara Teateret (The Tara Theatre) has performed for and with children, youth and adults. Ravn has been presented in different editions with many costumes and types of wings, skaters as performers, poetry reading, dancers, a Middle Ages ballad about the raven, experimental video, performance and more. The project is both rough and poetical and it conjures unusual sound landscapes, using noise and ambient music, playing with voices, drums and Tuvan throat-singing.
Ravn has been performed in many different arenas: St. Olav Festival in Trondheim (STUNT on the pier), Avant Garden, the skating hall at Trikkestallen and Sound of Mu, Oslo, National Music Day Oslo.
Ravn by Tara Teateret (The Tara Theatre) was supported by Arts Council Norway (performing arts, children and youth, local music), The Audio Visual Fund, the municipality of Trondheim and the county of Sør-Trøndelag.
