Kom tilbake!* (Come back!)
Kom tilbake!* (Come back!) (2006) by Barske Glæder Productions was a performance about sorrow and loss.
Talking about death is hard. It is hard to understand that someone you love will never return. How is it possible to talk about something that hurt so much? How can we get past something that we do not even want to think about?
*Not yet translated into English. The title within parentheses is the Norwegian title's literal meaning.

"tiden er en evighet og tiden er et kort sekund livet varer hele livet og en bitteliten stund"
(time is eternity and time is a short second life lasts all life and just a little bit - excerpt from the performance, not yet translated into English by Barske Glæder. The above excerpt is translated by Sceneweb's Lillian Bikset.)
Kom tilbake! by Barske Glæder Productions was a performance full of poetry and philosophy, and opened a window for children, adults and parents to talk about life, death and the world that surrounds us.
Did you know that the water we drink today is the same water people drank 10 000 years ago? Or that all hearts are made to beat approximately 800 million times? Or that there are 100 billion stars on the heaven? Do you, by the way, think that fish can cry?
Kom tilbake! by Barske Glæder Productions was supported by Arts Council Norway, the Fritt Ord Foundation, The Audio Visual Fund and The Fund for Performing Artists.
The composer was Svein Gundersen, while Tov Ramstad was the musician and responsible for the musical arrangements. The play was nominated for the Norwegian Ibsen Prize in 2007. Elisabeth Rygg (2006, 03.04). Review titled Moving about mourning. Aftenposten:
"Theatre for children about deep seriousness, longing, sorrow and death is a brave project to make. Barske Glæder Productions has made a poetic and touching performance about a child’s meeting with death (...) Langaas’ text is near reality, poetic and full of the child’s wonder and philosophy."
