Helt på tuppa!
Helt på tuppa!* by Teater Grimsborken is a musical comedy of errors for children, with ukulele, banjo and accordion.
*Helt på tuppa! can't be translated directly to English. The title is a Norwegian idiom referring to being so stressed or so excited one is almost out of one's mind. It can also be used about people who are generally frantic. "On the edge" may be the English idiom closest to its meaning. At the same time, the last word of the idiom, "tuppa", can also mean "the hen", which is a reference to the farm environment in the play.

Helt på tuppa! by Teater Grimsborken takes place at the farm of the peasant Bonden (Norwegian for Peasant) and his shepherdess Bente. At the farm the audience meets the cocks Kry and Klok (literally: Pride and Wise), plus the hen Klukkelill (a constructed word of the Norwegian word for Cluck, Klukke, and the female name Lill, which can also be used as a suffix signalling femininity). Happiness is complete when an egg sees daylight, but in the back of the set the fox Even sneaks around; he is a fox of dubious reputation and an urge for omelette.
Helt på tuppa! was produced in collaboration with Sogn og Fjordane Theatre.
A former edition of Roger Hilleren’s script was supported by Arts Council Norway and produced by Teater Joker.

"Towards the end laughter reverberated and the many children were captured by the drama. (…) Heilt på tuppa will likely become a hit in The Cultural Rucksack."
Arve Solbakken, Firdaposten, 17.04.07
"Teater Grimsborken performed the play Helt på tuppa to enthusiasm by the pupils of the school of Samkom. (...) Variation was good with music, funny rhymes and good acting."
Jan Inge Skeie, Vennesla Tidende, 02.02.07
