Wings by Cirkus KhaOom was inspired by the Rolf Jacobsen poem You bird.
"You bird
You bird in me
I feel your wing
I feel your beak pecking – pecking
against the bars in my breast. I know
you are a prisoner here.
But wait
a little while.
Just a little while,
then you’ll be free
you bird in me."**
Wings went in under the genre of new circus – a visual and theatrical performing arts hybrid consisting of circus acts, movement, music and dramatic arts, put together in a scenic dramaturgy.
Wings by KhaOom was produced with support from Concerts Norway and the counties of Hedmark, Østfold and Møre and Romsdal.
