The Autumn of the Patriarch
The Autumn of the Patriarch (1979) by Saltkompagniet was a street theatre performance for adults, inspired by Gabriel García Márquez' The Autumn of the Patriarch. Performed as Majorenes middag (literally: The Majors' Dinner) it had its world premiere during a festival for women in Oslo in 1979.
The Autumn of the Patriarch was performed in the period 1979-1981 in Norway, Denmark, Spain, Italy and at the St. Archangelo festival, the Murcia festival, in Alta and at all upper secondary schools in Oslo.
