Fapa was made on commission from On the Edge in collaboration with Regional arena for samtidsdans (RAS). The production was choreographed by Stine I. Knudsen and performed by a series of lighthouses in the county of Rogaland.

In Fapa, choreographed by Stine I. Knudsen, light is leading the way for dancers and audience alike. Interactive light design and site-specific backdrops of sound emphasis the contrasts between the safe and the unruly, the open and the protected, and the afar and the near, the way the lighthouse in its time made a divide between these elements. By staging the performance outdoors in the twilight hours, nature takes part in the production, for the spectators as well as the dancers.
