Kill me baby one more time is a result of a former collaboration between the dancers Caroline Eckly and Yaniv Cohen, plus the artist Andrea Spreafico, during the project Try in House at Carte Blanche in 2009. Try in House is a concept in which the Carte Blanche dancers are given free reins to create and perform own creations in the venue of the company.
The body installation Corps de ballets/ballet-corps which was performed by Eckly and Cohen during Try in House in 2009, placed all dancers on a table mid-stage and invited the spectators to take an intimate look up close, before they were referred to the tribune. The performance included several of the aspects which are developed further in Kill me baby one more time. Breaking down the divide between stage and seats, striving for techniques, choreographically and technologically providing the individual spectator with a perspective of his/her own, breaking down the totality. And least: An attempt at getting out of the protected magic of the stage room, by trying to get closer through making use of real events, real shock, real people falling, real objects, light and sounds.
Kill me baby one more time wanted to build a bridge between figurative art and the dance community in Bergen, both in regard of expression and audience. The performance is an escalating story about a couple, from seduction via violence to murder. The sequences are constructed as images, for instance through wrapping a body in plastic, hatching meat, beating to a pulp, freezing down, and so on.

"There is something sickly erotic over it all, a moaning sense of the kind of virtual reality that only lets us see part of the truth,"
