Sophie is the story about the woman who performed a series of arsenic murders towards the end of the 19th Century. More than 3000 people witnessed her public execution February 18 1976. Sophie by Oberon Teater follows her during interrogations and in jail waiting for death.

The company says the following about the production: "During the process we have wanted to dwell on the question what a person thinks, when she has murdered as icily cold. In addition we emphasise the fascination we other feel for her story and similar stories."

Sophie was made on commission by the touring organisation Delta K in collaboration with Østfold Theatre.
