Writers' Guild of Norway has the aim to defend copyright and the artistic and economic interests of the writers, plus promoting Norwegian contemporary drama. WGN protects the contract-related interests of playwrights and provides counsel and advice in issues related to contracts. The guild also provides legal assistance in principally important cases.
In addition, Writers' Guild of Norway arranges seminars and gives out grants and other economic support, plus rewarding awards.
