Projekttheater Dresden is an arena for what the Nazis called "Entartete Kunst", in other words, degenerate art and artists. Today we would call this modernist art with a perspective critical of society. The venue functions as a playing field between self-therapeutic exhibitionism and small scale comedy, an explosion-proof laboratory for experiments whose results sometimes offer a direction, and a place where not even discontent can be guaranteed.
