Cité de la Musique
The Cité de la musique, inaugurated in 1995, was designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc and contains two auditoriums (capacity 900 and 250), a Museum of Music and a media library.
In 2015 it was renamed the Philharmonie 2 (Cité de la musique). The unified Philharmonie de Paris consist of Philharmonie 1, opened in 2015, and Philharmonie 2. The name Philharmonie de Paris refers to the musical activities that take place in the two adjacent but separate buildings.
