At the webpage of LIG Art Foundation the following, among other things, is written about LIG Art Foundation:
"LIG Art Hall in Gangnam, which opened in 2006 before the foundation was established, is a theater constructed by LIG Insurance Co., Ltd. (previously LG Insurance Co., Ltd.) to actively promote the message and activity of a corporation that has been dedicated to supporting young artists since 1998. The theater gained recognition as a creative nest, producing work by artists expanding the boundaries of the performing arts through innovative visual and expressive forms.
Later, the foundation opened LIG Art Hall in Busan in 2011 and LIG Art Hall in Hapjeong in 2013, striving to serve as a cultural bridge that connects not only Seoul and Busan, but art and society as well."
