At the webpage of St. Stephens Centre the following, among other things, is written:

"The St. Stephens Centre is an impressive Georgian building designed by the architect William Henry Playfair and situated at the branch of Howe St and St. Stephen Street.

Formerly St. Stephens Parish Church, the building became the St. Stephens Centre following a union with St. Bernards Church, Stockbridge in 1992 and the formation of Stockbridge Parish Church."
