Cairo Opera House
With the inauguration of the new Cairo Opera House in 1988, The National Cultural Centre was established. It is part of the Ministry of Culture and serves as an umbrella organisation for all the music or dance companies, galleries, museums and the educational programs of the Cairo Opera House.

At the webpage of Cairo Opera House the following, among other things, is written:
"The National Cultural Centre includes seven theatres:
- Main Hall (1200 seats)
- Small Hall (350 seats)
- Open Air Theatre (600 seats)
- El Gomhouria Theatre (648 seats)
- Arab Music Institute (300 seats)
- Sayed Darwish Theatre, Alexandria (1000 seats)
- The Roman Amphitheatre at Kom El Dekka, Alexandria (650 seats)
Additionally, there are teaching and rehearsal spaces, dressing rooms, an art gallery, a music library, a decoration workshop, a museum, VIP halls and a restaurant."
