NET Festival
The first NET Festival (New European Theatre Festival) took place in Moscow in 1998.
The Russian name of the festival is НОВЫЙ ЕВРОПЕЙСКИЙ ТЕАТР.
The aim of NET Festival is to discover new names in Russian and European theatre, and to define trends in contemporary theatre direction, new writing and acting. It also aims to provide the opportunity for independent young Russian theatre groups to take part side by side with leaders of European theatre, and to inculcate in Moscow audience a taste for modern theatre art from Europe.
