In the autumn program of BIT Teatergarasjen 2000 the following is written about the festival 216T:
"216T is a tribute to diversity, the curious and creativity! During the time period from September 15 to 24 BIT Teatergarasjen hosts a number of Norwegian and international artists and scholars who in different ways attempt to discuss and reveal new and exciting aspects of life.
The common denominator for 216T is to find in the intersection between the serious, the challenging and the purely entertaining, only for fun! Up-coming pre essens, the reputed and renowned Baktruppen, luscious Conservas, performance artists and scholars from four continents meet and transform the theatre to a little world community in miniature.
216T is a project initiated and produced by BIT Teatergarasjen in collaboration with Norsk Forfattersentrum Vestlandet, Bergen 2000 (European Capital of Culture), The University of Bergen and the project organisation Bergen 2000 Krakow. 216T is the pilot project of BIT Teatergarasjen within the international artist network Junge Hunde."
