Potsdamer Tanztage was established in 1991 as a yearly dance festival. It invites artists around the world to Potsdam and offers an international range of different dance forms. Potsdamer Tanztage is organised by Fabrik Potsdam.

The aim of Potsdamer Tanztage is to present the diversity of the current international dance scene. A particular focus of the festival is the proximity between audience and artists.
Since 2004, the Kinder- und Jugendtanztage has been an integral part of the festival. Kinder- und Jugendtanztage is a festival of dance for the whole family, with dance performances, workshops and music.
