Arendal kulturhus
In the cultural centre of Arendal kulturhus lines are drawn back to the theatre past of the town Arendal, when the drama company Arendal Dramatiske Selskab had its Comediehus (literally: Comedy House) in Tyholmen. Two stage sets made in 1819, with two Muses from Greek mythology, decorate the entrance to the new theatre venue. Thalia is the Muse of comedy whereas Melpomene is he Muse of tragedy. The sets are owned by the cultural-historic centre of the county of Aust-Agder.
Centrally in the house two theatre venues are situated, and around are the municipal offices.
