In the photo: Scene from The National Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts. Mrs. Alving (Helen Brinchmann) sits kneeling, holding Osvald's face in her hands. Osvald (Svein Sturla Hungnes) sits in a reclining chair by a table. On the table is a bottle of champagne and several books.

The production opened October 4 1972. Pål Løkkeberg directed it, and the performers were Helen Brinchmann as Helene Alving, Frøydis Armand as Regine Engstrand, Svein Sturla Hungnes as Osvald, Frank Robert as Pastor Manders and Rolf Søder as Engstrand.
