Norwegian performing arts in the international arena(0)
For more than 150 years, Norwegian performing arts have toured internationally. This has been an important way to promote Norwegian culture and it has been central to the artists' network building and inspiration for further development of their own artistic practise.
This gallery shows images, photos, playbills, and video from productions performed abroad. If you wish a complete list of where and when the productions in the database have been performed, you are welcome to contact us to be sent a report on this.

The first production registered as performed abroad in the Sceneweb archive, is Møllergadens Theater's production of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's play En Fallit in May 1875. A month after the opening at Fredrikshald Teater, it was performed at Nya Teatern Göteborg, Sweden. It is likely that Norwegians toured internationally before this, but as of now, this is the first source to it in this archive.
