Eva, Hitler’s Beloved
Eva, Hitler’s Beloved is a play, written by Stefan Kolditz.
Eva, Hitler’s Beloved was the first work by Stefan Kolditz. The play had its world wide premiere in 1996, performed by Berliner Ensemble with Corinna Harfouch as Eva. The play is a monologue and tells the story of Eva in the time directly after the wedding with Hitler, prior to the double suicide. The play takes place in the bunker of Der Führer – 22 meters below the ground in Berlin. This is where Eva awaits her beloved.
The German original title is Eva, Hitlers Geliebte. The play has also been translated to English under the title Eva, Hitler’s Lover.
