Mistero buffo is a collection of theatre monologues by Dario Fo, seven in all.
The Italian word "Mistero" means mystery play (that is, a Biblical play for use in Church) and "buffo" means comical. In other words, these are comical monologues with themes from the Church.
The seven monologues are The Slaughter of the Innocents (Norwegian: De uskyldiges slakt, Italian: La Strage degli innocenti), Morality Play of the Blind Man and the Cripple (Norwegian: Den blinde og krøplingen, Italian: La moralità del cieco e dello storpio), The Marriage at Canaan (Norwegian: Bryllupet i Kanaan, Italian: Il miracolo delle nozze di Cana), The Birth of the Jongleur (Norwegian: Gjøglerens fødsel, Italian: La nascita del giullare), The Birth of the Villeyn (Norwegian: Den livegnes fødsel, Italian: La nascita del villano), The Resurrection of Lazarus (Norwegian: Lasarus' oppvåkning, Italian: Resurrezione di Lazzaro) and Boniface VIII (the same title in Norwegian and Italian).
