Buy Nothing Day

Buy Nothing Day is a play by Kim Atle Hansen. The play was written for the drama for youth platform DUS/Den Unge scenen in 2008.

Kim Atle Hansen’s play Buy Nothing Day is about youthful political involvement and how it is at the same time naïve and fundamental. The play is a thought experiment over what kind of consequences such an involvement can have, for the society and the individual, for the involvement and the political career. The main issue is whether such actions improve society, or whether they work against their own purpose. For what is, really, an improved society?
