Cardenio
Cardenio or The History of Cardenio is a lost play by William Shakespeare, possibly written in collaboration with John Fletcher, probably in 1612 or 1613.
During the 18th century Lewis Theobald claimed that he had the text in his possession, and that his own play Double Falsehood had been written with basis in it. This text has survived, and researchers have gone through it to find traces of Shakespeare in it. The issue is still controversial.
