Ylajali
Ylajali is a play by Jon Fosse, inspired by Knut Hamsun's novel Hunger.
It was written in 2007 on commission from The Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, and had its world premiere there in 2008, using the title Sult (literally: Hunger, and the original title of Hamsun's novel).
The Norwegian onstage premiere of Ylajali took place at Rogaland Theatre in 2009.
