Purple
Purple is a play by Jon Fosse, written in 2002. The original title in Norwegian is Lilla.
Purple was written on commission from The Royal National Theatre, England in 2003, and had its world premiere with Lyceum Youth Theatre, Scotland, in a translation by David Harrower. The English-language version of the play was published in the book Shell Connections in 2003 (Faber and Faber).
The first Norwegian-language book edition of the play was published after this, in 2004.
