The Returning
The Returning (2010) is a one-act play by Fredrik Brattberg. The original title in Norwegian is Tilbakekomstene.
Synopsis: Mother and father mourn the loss of their only son. The funeral is moving and grandiose. Several hundred people have come for the last goodbye. After the funeral the parents struggle to get back to everyday life. One day they get a visitor.
The Returning won the Norwegian Ibsen Award (AKA The Ibsen Prize) in 2012.
