Jacob Hirdwall
Jacob Hirdwall (born 1967) is a Swedish dramaturge, playwright, translator, director, actor and journalist working on culture.

Jacob Hirdwall was employed as a dramaturge at Göteborg City Theatre 1994-1996, where he also directed The Dumb Waiter by Harold Pinter in 1996. Then he was a dramaturge at FolkTeatern in Göteborg 1997-1999, at Stockholm City Theatre 1998-2001 and in Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts 1999-2001, where he among other plays presented Afternoon, which was written specially by Jon Fosse. Jacob Hirdwall initiated Växthuset, a network for new Swedish drama.
From 2001 Jacob Hirdwall has been attached to The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Jacob Hirdwall restarted the venue Elverket connected to the theatre in collaboration with Stefan Larsson in 2003 and was responsible for the venue’s playwright group Elverkets Dramatikergruppe 2003-2006.
As an actor Hirdwall has taken part in several stage and TV productions, among them the drama series År av drömmar (Years of Dreams) broadcasted by the Swedish Public Service Broadcaster SVT in 1993.
