William Douglas-Home

William Douglas-Home(born June 3, 1912, Edinburgh, Scot.—died Sept. 28, 1992, Kilmeston, Hampshire, Eng.) was a British playwright. Douglas-Home created more than 40 plays in four decades, notably light comedies that often were produced on Broadway and made into motion pictures.

Douglas-Home was educated at Eton and at New College, Oxford, and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He worked as an actor in London before focusing on writing as a career.
