Georg Johannesen
Georg Johannesen (born February 22 1931 in Bergen, dead December 24 2005 in Egypt), was a Norwegian writer and professor of rhetoric at The University of Bergen. He was considered among Norway’s most original thinkers. His magister degree was a thesis on the spring motive used by Olaf Bull. Johannesen is particularly well known for his book Om den norske tenkemåten* (On the Norwegian mind 1975), which was in 2008 selected as the most important non-fiction work in post-war Norway by a jury on behalf of the newspaper Dagbladet.
