Arthur Arntzen
Arthur Arntzen (born in Tromsø May 10 1937) is a Norwegian writer, journalist, playwright, humourist and actor.
He has written several books and theatre productions about his alter ego, Oluf Raillkattli, who he presented onstage for the first time in 1967. (The name Oluf is a real, somewhat old-fashioned Norwegian first name, whereas Raillkattli is a construction - its literal meaning isStray Cat Slope).
The theatre production Oluf (1989), written by Arntzen and with Arntzen in the title role, is one of the largest theatre successes in the history of Hålogaland Theatre. 79 942 tickets were sold. His Den fordømte nordlendingen* (The Damned Northerner) (produced in 1996) was seen by 100 182 spectators. The two mentioned productions are the most-selling productions in the history of Hålogaland Theatre.
