Nassim Soleimanpour

Nassim Soleimanpour is a multidisciplinary artist born in December 1981 in Tehran, Iran.

He is the Artistic Director of Shiraz Theatre Company (STC), with a BA in Set Design, Performing Arts from The University of Tehran.

As a writer,Nassim Soleimanpourhas won prestigious theatre awards such as Edinburgh Arches Award and Toronto SummerWorks and Guardian Best Topic Award. He has also been nominated for other awards such as Brighton Fringe and Total Theatre Award.

Nassim Soleimanpourhas taught computer aided set design at University of Tehran, and his plays have been performed in different cities and countries such as: New York, Toronto, Edinburgh, Bytom etc. He is the Director of International Affairs for Fadjr Theatre Festival which is the most important theatre happening in Iran.

In 2012, his play White Rabbit, Red Rabbit (2012) was performed as a staged reading by Oslo International Theatre and Imploding Fictions in collaboration with Cafeteatret & Nordic Black Theatre, Black Box Teater, The Norwegian Theatre, The Torshov Theatre & The National Theatre and Det Andre Teatret (The Other Theatre), plus Volcano, Necessary Angel and Wolfgang Hoffmann.
